How to Wear: Bandeau Tops

Bandeau tops are very popular this year. They come in a large array of colors, styles, and fabrics. There are countless ways to wear these but I will be talking about five different ways.

Under a Lace or Sheer Top: This can be a very classy look. It shows off some skin but not too much. Also it can be a way to wear long sleeves and still stay cool in the summer.

With High Waisted Shorts: This is a great top to pair with your high waisted shorts. This also can add some color variety to your outfit.

Under a V-Neck Top: This is a great way to have a "tank top" effect without actually wearing a tank top.

Under an open shirt or jacket: This is a very cute look. You can also pair this with a necklace to give it some detailing.

With Shorts to the Beach: This is a great way to stay cool if you don't plan on swimming. You don't have to wear a swim suit just so you don't get hot.

Foundation Routine

Facial makeup can be a bit complicated to figure out. With so many different products for your face, it is hard to know which you should apply, and in what order. Below are five simple steps to help ease your foundation routine.

Step 1: Wash Your Face. You should make sure that before doing your makeup you wash your face to rid it of any dirt, oil, or previous makeup. It is best to use some sort of exfoliant to clean deep into your pores.

Step 2: Moisturize. After washing your face you should apply some sort of moisturizer. This will avoid any dry patches on your face. I would recommend using a moisturizer with an SPF to protect your face from the sun.

Step 3: Foundation. Now you are ready to apply your foundation. You should use a color that matches your skin as close as possible. If this is done, you will avoid any lines on your face appearing to be discolored. You want the color on your neck and face to blend together.

Step 4: Concealer. This will help cover up any blemishes or discoloration that the foundation failed to. You want to make sure that this also matches the color of your skin.

Step 5: Powder.  You want to use powder to set your foundation so that it stays all day. Also it will help  to absorb any oil your skin naturally produces throughout the day.

By following these 5 steps, you can achieve beautiful skin daily.

Makeup for Your Eye Color

Many girls have trouble finding the right makeup look to match their eye color. I will be showing the best makeup options to enhance blue, brown, and green eyes.

Blue Eyes: Blue eyes are best enhanced by icy colors. I would reccomend a pink eye look for day time and a silver smokey look for night time. Navy eyeliner and mascara both look amazing on blue eyes. Finally, I would reccomend a neutral lip color to showcase your blue eyes.

Brown Eyes: Plum, forest green, and bronze are all great eyeshadow colors for brown eyes. If you have brown eyes I would stay away from black eyeliner and mascara and go for a brown instead. I would also recommend using a bronze color in the contour of your cheek bones.

Green Eyes: Shades of purple are great for green eyes. Also, gray eyeliner is best. I would suggest a light pink color lipgloss for the lips and a light pink blush as well.

E.L.F. Cosmetics Review

If you haven't heard of E.L.F., it is a makeup brand that is known for its incredibly cheap prices. It stands for Eyes, Lips, Face. It has three lines the Essential line (most products are $1), the Studio line (most products are $3), and the Mineral line (most products are $5). These are all amazing prices for cosmetics. Some of the products are absolutely amazing quality but others you can tell they are cheaper products. I have quite a few products for this brand and I will be doing a review on them. E.L.F. products can be bought at your local Target or at www.eyeslipsface.com.

Essential line:

1. Eyelid Primer: This is one of my absolute favorite products! It is great for keeping your eyeshadow on all day long, and it makes your eyeshadow much brighter.

2. Duo Eyeshadow: This product has good color pay off, however it can be difficult to blend and is not very long lasting.

3. Shimmering Facial Whip: I love the idea of this product but the formula is very watery. It does not apply well at all. The only good thing about this product is that it smells amazing.

4. All Over Color Stick: I have two of these sticks, and I absolutely love them. I use them on my lips and cheeks. They have amazing color pigmentation, and they also smell very good.

5. Shimmer Eyeliner Pencils: I have six different colors of these. They apply very easily and well. Also it is convenient to have the sharpener in the cap.

6. Mechanical Eyelash Curler: This is my favorite eyelash curler that I have ever owned. It works amazingly and is very easy to handle.

7. Lipstick: I only own one shade of this product but I do not like it at all. The formula is not creamy and is very sheer. Also it catches in every crease and crack in my lips. I would never recommend this product to anyone.

8. Super Glossy Lip Shine: I love this lip gloss. It is not sticky like most lip glosses and it definitely is shiny.

9. Hypershine Gloss: I love this lip gloss as well. It is a great product to just throw in your purse and carry around all day.

10. Soothing Lip Balm: I really enjoy this lip balm. It is the most moisturizing lip product I have ever used.

Studio Line:

1. Concealer: I love this concealer, it works very well. The only problem I have with it is that the packaging does not allow for you to use all of the product.

2. Eyebrow Kit: This product is amazing, however it does not have a shade for lighter eyebrows.

3. Tinted Moisturizer: I love this product. It has a perfect amount of coverage and also protects your skin from the sun very well.

4. Blush: I have two colors of this product and they are my go-to blushes. I love them!!!

5. Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths: These work very well at removing makeup, however they did cause me to break out.

Mineral Line:

1. Eyeshadow: I have ten of these eyeshadows. I love them because they are long lasting and very blendable.

E.L.F. products are kind of a hit or miss. Some products are amazing while others are not so great. They are a great starting place for makeup newbies.

Coral is the New Black

A very popular color this year is coral. Coral is a pinkish orange color that can come across very springy. Some colors that go very well with coral are turquoise, gold, and yellow. Below are five different ways to incorporate coral into your look.

Clothing: Coral is a great color for clothing. It goes well with all skin tones. Also it is great to pair with gold or turquoise jewelry.

Accessories: Coral is a great choice for shoes and bags. It can add a pop of color to any dull colorless outfit. Also, you can pair it with a day time or night time look.

Jewelry: Jewelry is a great way to show off a coral color. I especially love this piece because of the gold detailing which accents the coral very well.

Nails: Coral is a great nail color, whether you are wearing coral in your outfit or not. It is a bright but not over the top color. This particular color is Coral Cascade by Color Club.

Makeup: Coral lipstick or blush is beautiful for more tan skin tones. It is great for spring and summer. This particular lipstick is True Coral by Tom Ford.

How To: Color Block

A great way to encorporate various colors into your outfit is through color blocking. This is when you choose pieces of clothing that have no print that are in various, typically bright colors. However, you should never use more than three different colors when you do this. Also, accessories are a great way to add various colors to your look. Below I show and explain three different color blocking looks.

                       http://dulcecandy.com/2012/02/how-to-colorblock-like-a-pro.html

The first outfit (Far left) is a great way to color block for night time. The three colors used are dark green, purple, and yellow. The colors are not to bright and the yellow and purple are very small and subtle. I love that black is used for the neutral color.

The second outfit (Center) is a very cute day time look. It uses pastel colors that all accent each other very well. The colors used are lilac, light blue, and coral. These all work together very well. The nude bag and shoes are perfect because they don't cause there to be too much color.

The final outfit (Far right) is a very cute look for summer. There are only two colors in this outfit but they go together very well. The navy blue shorts and yellow top are very bright but still tasteful. Again, she pairs this look with the nude shoes and bag.

These are all great ways to use color blocking in your outfit. Try out your own color blocking ideas out, but remember no more than three colors, and be sure that the colors all accent each other.

Floral Print

Another popular trend for spring is floral print. You can wear floral in countless ways but I am showing my top ten favorites.

.

This is a gorgeous floral dress. I love the variety of colors in this print and I also love the fact that this is a large floral print, which is not as easy to wear as a smaller floral print, but when done correctly it looks fantastic.

These floral jeans take a very bold person to wear them but, again can look amazing when worn right. They look great with solid shoes and tops, as the girl below has.

Floral print scarves are very popular as well. This particular one has a very large floral print and can be worn with many different colors. I would reccomend a solid shirt and pants to be worn with this scarf.

My absolute favorite way to wear floral print is on my shoes. There are many different styles of floral print shoes such as flats, sandals, wedges, combat boots, and of course heels. I love the colors in these heels and might purchase them myself!

Jewelry is a great way to give a touch of floral to an outfit. This bracelet is very subtle and pretty.

I don't see a lot of floral print rings but when I do, I absolutely love them!

Floral bags can give a dainty, vintage look to many types of outfits. I love the print of this particular bag.

The last floral trend is floral print nails. Not many people can execute this small print on nails, but it is absolutely gorgeous when done.

These are all great ways to incorporate floral into your outfit, but remember not to wear too much floral at once, or you might look a bit silly!
